Titanium equipment manufacturing generally has three process methods: forming method, casting method, powder metallurgy method.
The rhenium forming method can prepare large-scale, arbitrarily complicated titanium equipment, and is the most important process method. The casting method and powder metallurgy method are suitable for equipment and parts with small size and not complicated shapes, but have the characteristics of short process flow and low cost in mass production. Large-scale titanium equipment generally needs to go through processes such as pressure forming, machining, welding, surface treatment, etc. Small single-piece equipment such as titanium pumps, valves, and titanium impellers are often produced by casting. For products with special functions such as titanium filters, powder metallurgy is considered.
The first process of preparing materials in the manufacturing of titanium equipment is scribing. The purpose of scribing is to draw the boundary line of sheet cutting and processing. It has a great influence on the subsequent group pairing and welding process. Marking includes drawing off the material line, processing line, line and position line and inspection line, etc., and marking with necessary marks. Titanium can be cut by cutting, stamping, cutting (gas cutting, water cutting or plasma cutting, etc.) or cutting. For pipes and rods, mechanical methods such as sawing machines, pipe cutters, and wheel cutters can be used for cutting. It is necessary to prevent iron ion pollution in each process, and the machining of titanium edge must adopt mechanical cutting method.
