About Titanium Sleeve

Titanium sleeve is one of the titanium machining parts-high strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, material TA1, TA2, TC4, etc., can be processed according to the drawings or samples.

Titanium sleeve is a cylindrical mechanical part sleeved on a rotating shaft and is an integral part of a sliding bearing. Generally speaking, the shaft sleeve and the bearing seat adopt an interference fit, while the shaft sleeve adopts a clearance fit.

Advantages of Titanium Sleeve

Titanium sleeve are generally made of TA2 (Gr2) or TC4 (Gr5) titanium materials depending on the use scene and material properties.

In the scenario where the corrosion resistance is high and the strength is not high, the excellent corrosion resistance of TA2 (Gr2) material can greatly improve the corrosion resistance of the sleeve and greatly increase the service life.

The sleeve and bearing are the same in that both bear the load of the shaft.

The difference between the two is that the shaft sleeve is an integral structure, and the relative movement between the shaft and the shaft sleeve is relative when rotating; while the bearing is split, the relative movement of the inner and outer rings of the bearing is relative when rotating. But in essence, the sleeve is actually a type of sliding bearing.

The bearing bush is equivalent to the outer ring of a sliding bearing. The titanium sleeve is integral and moves relative to the shaft, while the bearing bush is divided into pieces and the relative shaft is rotated.
