Grade 16 titanium (Ti-0.5Pd) is an alpha-beta alloy containing palladium (0.04-0.08%) to enhance crevice corrosion resistance in reducing acid environments. Compared to pure titanium grades, Gr16 provides superior performance in hydrochloric, sulfuric, and formic acid media.
