As a leading Grade 12 titanium tubing manufacturer in China, TSM Technology provides high-quality titanium tubing for corrosion-resistant applications. Our Grade 12 titanium tubing, certified to ASTM B338 / ASME SB338 and ASTM B861, exhibits superior resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting corrosion, even under high chloride and reducing acidic conditions. Grade 12 titanium tubing features a unique composition of 0.3% molybdenum and 0.8% nickel, offering superior performance compared to many other alloys in chemical, marine, and power generation applications. As a reliable supplier serving global customers, we maintain a large inventory and offer highly competitive ex-factory prices.
What is Grade 12 Titanium (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni)?
Grade 12 Titanium Tubing (UNS R53400) is an alpha-beta alloy containing molybdenum and nickel, which significantly enhances corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing environments. Unlike commercially pure grades, Gr12 offers superior resistance to hydrochloric, sulfuric, and formic acids, as well as excellent weldability. Our Grade 12 Titanium Tube is manufactured via cold rolling and pilgering processes, ensuring precise dimensional tolerances and consistent mechanical properties. It is the material of choice for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and piping systems where long-term reliability is critical.

As a trusted manufacturer, we guarantee that every tube meets or exceeds industry standards.
Grade 12 Titanium vs. Other Titanium Grades – Corrosion Advantage
Grade 12's molybdenum and nickel addition provides superior resistance to reducing acids (e.g., up to 10% H₂SO₄ at elevated temperatures) compared to Grade 2. It also resists crevice corrosion in seawater better than many stainless steels. For applications requiring high strength and weldability, Grade 12 offers an ideal balance. Our engineering team can assist in material selection for your specific media and temperature range.

Frequently Asked Questions – Grade 12 Titanium Tube
What standards apply to Grade 12 Titanium Tube?
+
-
Our tubes conform to ASTM B338 (general seamless/welded) and ASTM B861 (seamless only). We also meet ASME SB338 for pressure vessel applications.
Is Grade 12 titanium suitable for high-temperature service?
+
-
Yes, Grade 12 maintains good mechanical properties up to 315°C (600°F) and resists oxidation. For higher temperatures, we recommend Grade 7 or Grade 16.
Can you supply small quantities for maintenance?
+
-
Absolutely. As a stockist, we supply from a few meters to full project quantities. No minimum order restrictions for standard sizes.
What is the typical lead time for custom Grade 12 Titanium pipe?
+
-
For non-stock dimensions, lead time is 15-25 days. Expedited service available for urgent requirements.
Do you provide welding support for Grade 12 tubing?
+
-
Yes, we offer technical data sheets for GTAW welding parameters. Our metallurgists can recommend filler metal (ERTi-12) for optimal joint performance.
