Spiral-welded tubes generally exhibit higher strength compared to straight-seam welded tubes. Large-diameter welded tubes can be produced using narrower billets, while tubes of different diameters can be manufactured from billets of the same width, offering greater material utilization flexibility.
Manufacturing Process of Titanium Welded Tubes
The production process follows these key stages: raw material preparation → flattening → end trimming and edge welding → main seam welding → preliminary shaping and correction → ring forming → internal and external weld seam removal → induction heat treatment → sizing and straightening → non-destructive testing (eddy current inspection) → cutting to length → pressure testing → final inspection, packaging, pickling, and transportation.
