Features of Grade 1 Grade 2 Pure Seamless Titanium Tubes
Pure Seamless Titanium Tubes are categorized into Grade 1 and Grade 2 based on their impurity content. Titanium with a purity of more than 99.6% is collectively referred to as grade 1 titanium, and pure titanium with a purity of less than 99.6% is grade 2. The interstitial impurity elements of these two industrial pure titanium gradually increase, and their mechanical strength and hardness also gradually increase, but the plasticity and toughness decrease accordingly. The industrial pure titanium Seamless Tubes commonly used in industry are Grade 2, because of their moderate corrosion resistance and comprehensive mechanical properties. Grade 1 can be used when better molding properties are required. Grade 1 Grade 2 Pure Seamless Titanium Tubes have light weight, the highest ductility, and good cold forming characteristics. It is also widely used in heat exchangers, condensers, water treatment, desalination, evaporators and pipelines, etc.

The elongation rate of the high-purity titanium tube can reach 50-60%, and the cross-sectional area can reach 70-80%. Although the strength of Grade 1 Grade 2 Pure Seamless Titanium Tubes is low, pure industrial titanium contains a small amount of impurities. The addition of alloy elements can significantly enhance its mechanical properties, making its strength comparable to high-strength materials. This means that as long as the industrial pure titanium tube contains a small amount of interstitial impurities and other metal impurities, it can have both high strength and appropriate plasticity.
