At TSM TECHNOLOGY CO., we specialize in high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys. Our Hastelloy G35 Tube (UNS N06035) represents the pinnacle of material science for wet-process phosphoric acid evaporators and oxidizing acid services. Developed as a superior evolution of alloy G-30, G35 offers unparalleled resistance to localized attack and stress corrosion cracking in the most aggressive industrial media.
Product Overview
In the demanding field of chemical engineering, the electrochemical properties of materials are constantly being pushed to their limits. The development of Hastelloy G35 pipe aims to overcome the shortcomings of traditional stainless steel and early nickel alloys.
From G-30 to G-35
Alloy G-30 was the industry standard for phosphoric acid heat exchanger tubing. However, as process temperatures and concentrations increased, the need for a more robust solution became apparent. Hastelloy G35 Tube was designed with a higher chromium content (nominal 33%) and optimized molybdenum levels to provide a significantly lower corrosion rate in 'fertilizer-grade' phosphoric acid (P2O5).
As a leading manufacturer and exporter, we ensure that every Hastelloy G35 tube we produce meets the most stringent international standards, from raw material sourcing to advanced cold drawing and annealing processes.

Chemical Composition (UNS N06035 / DIN 2.4643)
The performance of Hastelloy G35 Tube is derived from its precise balance of elements. The exceptionally high chromium content provides a stable passive film in oxidizing environments, while molybdenum prevents pitting in chloride-bearing media.

Manufacturing & Fabrication
Hastelloy G35 Tube can be readily welded using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). We recommend using matching filler metals (e.g., ERNiCrMo-21) to maintain the corrosion resistance of the weld joint. No pre-heat is required, and interpass temperatures should be kept below 93°C (200°F) to preserve material properties.
Hot and Cold Working
While G35 is more sensitive to strain rates than austenitic stainless steels, it can be hot-worked within a narrow temperature range (approx. 927°C - 1232°C). Cold working is also feasible but requires more energy due to the higher work-hardening rate.
Heat Treatment
Final product forms should be solution annealed at 1121°C (2050°F) followed by a rapid water quench. This process ensures the dissolution of any carbides and maximizes corrosion performance.
Applications of Hastelloy G35
Hastelloy G35 pipe excels in handling hot, concentrated sulfuric and phosphoric acids, making it ideal for critical chemical processing equipment like acid production plants, reactors, and heat exchangers. Its superior resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking is vital for pollution control systems, notably in Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) scrubbers and absorber towers.

Quality Assurance at TSM TECHNOLOGY CO.

Choosing TSM means choosing quality without compromise. Every batch of Hastelloy G35 Tube undergoes rigorous testing, including:
•Chemical Analysis: Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) to verify trace elements.
•Mechanical Testing: Yield, tensile, and elongation verification.
•Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): 100%Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
•Corrosion Testing: ASTM G48 pitting and crevice corrosion evaluation upon request.
We provide full Material Test Certificates (MTC) in accordance with EN 10204 3.1, ensuring complete traceability from the heat number to your project site.
